Lee Khan is a business development strategist, lifelong environmentalist and entrepreneur who specializes in the energy, transportation, and IT sectors. She is an architect of ideas and partnerships and has a unique style that generates energy and motivation for problem-solving. In her early professional life, Lee successfully managed political campaigns in over 25 states and collaborated with pro-democracy leaders across the globe. As an investor, her focus has been on energy startups. Lee’s for-profit and nonprofit endeavors include HGS Data, PermittingPartners, Healthy Randolph, Home Grown Fuels, Jazz Investments, The Khan Partnership, and the Vermont Rail Action Network. Lee’s expertise lies in identifying emerging technologies that drive positive change for people and the planet. Working with an idea, developing a technology, identifying markets, and ultimately launching an entity that will bring about change often means following the road less traveled. These are the roads she takes. Lee has a B.S. in Political Science; has attended DePauw University, Johnson State College, and George Washington University; and brings a unique blend of determination and innovation to her role as CEO of Home Grown Fuels.

Lindsey Johnson, Co-founder, Chief Commercial Officer, has over three decades of experience in economic development, ranging from site identification, permitting and stakeholder management to working with government and community leaders to build coalitions and develop innovative solutions to facilitate development. Lindsey also co-founded Women Incorporated (WI), a non-profit organization created to aggregate the market power of women entrepreneurs. WI raised a $250 million loan fund, developed strategic partnerships with large corporations for services, and provided training programs across the country. WI successfully negotiated with major financial institutions to create ways to better serve women entrepreneurs. Lindsey also served at the U.S. Department of Commerce and as the National Director, the Office of Women’s Business Ownership at the U.S. Small Business Administration, where she designed and managed national programs to provide economic development and support to women entrepreneurs. The most enduring of those was the multi-million-dollar program to build a national network of technical assistance centers for women entrepreneurs. Lindsey received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an A.B. in International Relations from the University of Chicago.

Anthony AKA "Moose" Auyer
Chief Technology Officer

Anthony “Moose” Auyer, Chief of Technology Officer, brings 28 years of industrial construction and manufacturing processes experience to HGF. For the past 15 years, he has focused on the removal, transportation, and installation of all types of industrial plant equipment. Recent customers include Lockheed Martin, Kingston (a Berkshire Hathaway Company), Remarms Inc, Rayovac, Purdue Pharma, and Our Katahdin. Since 2002 he has been a pioneer in industrial online sales. He was among the first to develop an industrial parts sales channel on eBay, selling tens of thousands of parts. He has amassed a large inventory of obsolete parts to support the manufacturing industry and offers repair services for legacy items from a variety of manufacturers. His machine shop is equipped with manual and CNC metal-working machines to manufacture hard to find repair parts and do rapid prototyping. He credits success to his early years serving in the U.S. Marines as well as his near-photographic memory for manufacturing processes and industrial parts.

Jared has worked in the IT field for nearly a decade, combining hands-on military and academic experience. His diverse background has shaped a deep understanding of technology and problem-solving. He’s passionate about leveraging IT to keep systems running smoothly and efficiently.

Celina is the bookkeeper at Home Grown Fuels, deputy treasurer for a local municipality, and firefighter/EMS provider in the Katahdin region. She lives in Medway with her husband and two dogs, and when she’s not working, you can find her outdoors enjoying Maine’s beauty.

Dr. Olusegun Idowu, PhD
Dr. Olusegun Idowu, PhD

Accomplished agricultural scientist, experienced as a postdoctoral researcher with over a decade of expertise in crop science, soil fertility, biochar technology, sustainable agricultural management systems, and PFAS research for safe food production. Adept at designing and managing field, pot, greenhouse, and controlled-environment experiments, with proficiency in data collection and analysis, presenting and publishing scientific research findings, grant writing, and stakeholder engagement. Experienced in mentoring graduate students, fostering industry–academic collaborations, and translating research findings into practical solutions for farmers, industry partners, and policymakers.
